However, the most important question is why we do self-study of teacher education practices. First, self-study of teacher education practices is a methodology to improve your teaching about teaching. It starts with inquiring personal situations, focusing on“a living contradiction.”However, self-study is not only about you. Next, as a self-study researcher, you extend your understanding through critical collaborate inquiry, employing dispositions of openness and appreciating feedback from critical friends and others. Last, you will frame and reframe your interpretations about your practices through a transparent and systematic research process and contribute to the accumulation of pedagogy of teacher education.\nIn my conclusion, self-study of teacher education practices:\n1. improves teaching about teaching and learning about teaching\n2. builds the community of teacher education/educators\n3. contributes to make our school more democratic, which consequently creates more just and democratic society.
