The new curriculum includes the categories : \"objectives of the subject,\" \"objectives of the educational contents of the subject,\" \"matters of itsinstruction,\" \"points of attention,\" and \"reference examples.\"\nIn order to examine whether or not our teaching methods of the techniques of livelihood support have met the objectives of the new curriculum, I conducted an exploratory survey on the techniques of livelihood support taught in a course called \"Practicum I,\" in which the students study various types of facilities through practical and introductory trainings. I also conducted a survey of the class evaluation of the course \" Techniques of Livelihood Support.\"\nI asked two questions in a focus group interview to eleven freshmen who study at Z care worker training institution (a two-year course) : How many times have you experienced the techniques of livelihood support taught in \"Practicum I\"? and What do you want to learn in \"Techniques of Livelihood Support\"?\nAs a result,in \"Practicum I,\" the students could experience the areas of study(excretion and mealtime assistance,in particular) which they were unable to study in their regular classes. In addition,my interviews with the students show that they experienced anxiety during the practicum although they had received instructions, practice cases and guidance in advance.
