I studied constitutional law under Professor Kiminobu Hashimoto at Chuo University, but I have continued to question the theories regarding the historical changes (Verfassungswandlung) to Article 9 of the Constitution. After seven years as a high school teacher, I entered a graduate program in law through a social entrance examination, where I pursued both a master's and a doctoral degree, ultimately becoming a university lecturer focused on constitutional law. During my time in graduate school, I learned from former University of Tokyo Professor Naoki Kobayashi, who had war experiences, and former Meiji University Professor Hideo Wada, as well as gaining insights from former Hokkaido University Professor Tadakazu Fukase, who held Christian beliefs. Of course, I also received enthusiastic guidance from  my direct supervisor, Professor Takashi Chiba, in constitutional law, educational law, foreign law translation, and thesis writing.
