都市近郊における体験型都市・農村交流のグリーン・ツーリズム : 福岡県前原市を事例として Recreational Facilities for Rural Tourism to Promote Rural-Urban Interactions in the Vicinity of a Large City : A Case Study of Maebaru City in Fukuoka Prefecture 近藤, 功庸 コンドウ, カツノブ 出村, 克彦 デムラ, カツヒコ Kondo, Katsunobu Demura, Katsuhiko The purpose of this paper is to investigate rural tourism and recreational facilities, such as 'Nogyo Koen (Square of Agriculture)' in Maebaru City of Fukuoka Prefecture, that promote rural-urban interactions. In order to use farm land efficiently, Nogyo Koen provides facilities for a farmers' market and the teaching of woodcrafts as well as garden plots. We found that the recreational facilities and infrastructure constructed by the local authorities were sufficient, however, more interesting events will be required if they want to attract more participants. It is necessary to increase the number of agricultural commodities available at the farmers' market and improve the flow of information to urban residents.
